Thornley Kelham is a classic and vintage car company offering a full in-house restoration service, as well as rally preparation and support, engineering, servicing and a discreet sales operation. Our aim is to offer traditional artisan skills, good old fashioned customer service, modern workshops and the highest level of quality and attention to detail in everything we do. Recently described as ‘the best restoration company nobody has ever heard of’ we are a British company located in the beautiful Cotswolds, based in 32,000 square feet of spacious and organised workshops with a team of over 30 dedicated and skillful individuals.
We can offer a door to door collection and delivery service, provide monthly updates on all projects, and we are used to dealing with customers from around the world. We currently have major projects ranging from ‘Gullwing’ Mercedes 300SL, Rolls Royce Phantom II, BMW 328, Ferrari 250GTE, Lancia Flaminia Zagato ….
RESTORATION - complete in-house service including aluminium & steel panelwork; concours paintwork; engine building including performance upgrades; electrical/rewiring.
MOTOR SPORT - preparation, transport, event support and post-event checks for race and rally events in the UK and abroad.
SERVICING & MAINTENANCE - servicing options for all classic and vintage makes and models.
ENGINEERING - fully-equipped Machine Shop.
SALES - professional and discreet buying and selling service for selected models.
Recent award-winning projects include a 1960 Aston Martin DB4, a 1928 C6 Amilcar and a 1938 Bentley 4 ¼ litre Pillarless Saloon. After a 3-year restoration, the ex-1951 Mille Miglia/Le Mans Lancia Aurelia B20GT Series 1 competed at the prestigious 2014 Pebble Beach Concours. A unique Motto-bodied Goldmanini barchetta and a Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider both won prizes at the Salon Prive’ Concours d’Elegance in 2015.
